Mastering Spells and Charms

How I Run This Class

All of your work will be posted in your induvidual threads. The only time you will post in the classroom is for Lesson One. Each lesson is posted in your induvidual threads; essays, RP's, quizzes, etc. Each lesson is an iduvidual role play between the student and the professor.

Essays

Your essays are counted as homework. There is no other homework for this class, so I expect them all to be done. Please leave everything in order (See Posting Order below).

Essays should be done the best you can. Please use proper grammar, punctuation, etc. Also, make sure you are very detailed. If I feel that you didn't use your full potentional, then you will be marked down for it.

Essays are worth 10 points each, but you cannot begin the lesson until you have posted your essay.

Role Plays

After you have posted your essay, you may immediately begin your RP. You will enter the classroom (in your induvidual thread) and wait for the professor to arrive. Once there, you will pick two spells that you would like to work on. I will set up something for you to try the first spell and set it up. You will then completely do the spell twice. Remember, there is no God-modding. I will be deciding whether you completed the spell or not. 5 points will be deducted every time you God-mod. Each spell is worth 50 points. Your total RP is worth 100 points.

Once you have done both spells twice, you may move on to your quiz.

Quizzes

Quizzes are done in essay-form. You will role play through by yourself. This is the only time you get to God-mod your spells. You cannot purposely hurt yourself or kill yourself.  They need to be very detailed and have proper grammar, punctuation, etc.

After you are done with the RP, I will post in list-form the guide lines for the quiz. You must cover everything in your essay. If you do not, then you will be marked down.

Example of Quiz Outline: (For your lesson, you have chosen Lumos and Alohomora)

  • There will be a black door that is in the middle of the room. Walk through the door when you are ready.
  • Inside the door, the room is completely dark. Make it so you can see and find your way to the next door. The next door is located down a long hallway to your right.
  • In the next room, there is a door in front of you that has the words "Exit" carved into it. Going up to the door, you find it locked. Unlock the door and get out.
  • Once you exit the door, you find yourself back into the classroom. You may gather your things and leave.

Once you are done with your quiz, you may immediately move on to your essay for the next lesson.
